Soul Slam is an annual tribute event dedicated to the music and cultural impact of Prince and Michael Jackson, spanning New York and numerous other cities. Since the passing of both artists, DJ Spinna has carried forward their musical legacies through commemorative events such as Forever Michael and the Prince Birthday Tribute.
Wonder-Full is a long-running tribute to Stevie Wonder that began in the late 1990s and has toured internationally. The event features Spinna playing deep cuts, remixes, and classics from Wonder's catalog.
DJ Spinna also hosts a variety of acclaimed tribute parties including Journey, Flavors, Anything Goes, What the Funk?!, and MotownPhilly, each celebrating distinct musical styles and eras.

On Twitch, he has amassed 22,000 followers spinning live, marathon sets and interacting with his chatroom on two shows, DJ Spinna Presents Journey and Galactic Quiet Storm (GQS).
DJ Spinna also hosted two seasons of Here to There Radio on Apple Music, a weekly two-hour program that explores funk, soul, R&B, disco, jazz, house, hip-hop, and electronic music through themed episodes and deep musical selections.
Before launching Here to There Radio, DJ Spinna hosted Sound Spectrum, a radio series and mix program that showcased the full breadth of his musical tastes. Since then, Sound Spectrum has evolved into a podcast platform, allowing Spinna to engage directly with many of his musical influences, exploring their careers, creative processes, and personal stories through in-depth conversations.

DJ Spinna co-founded the underground hip-hop group Jigmastas, whose 1990s releases became influential in independent East Coast rap. Their 2001 album Grass Roots: The Prologue and follow-up Resurgence (2016) showcased their evolution from classic boom-bap to a more refined, mature production. The duo has collaborated with artists such as Pharoahe Monch, Mos Def, and Talib Kweli, reinforcing their link to New York’s conscious rap movement.
In 2003, DJ Spinna released his acclaimed solo project, Here to There, which is often regarded as a modern underground classic. The album was part of the BBE “Beat Generation” series, which also includes albums from producers like J Dilla and Pete Rock. The album includes includes appearances from artists like Jean Grae, Apani B Fly, Vinia Mojica, Shaun Escoffery, Angela Johnson and others.
Beyond artist projects, a major part of DJ Spinna’s catalog comes from production work. He has remixed music for a wide range of artists across genres— Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige, De La Soul, and Eminem. DJ Spinna is also well known for transforming Shaun Escoffery’s “Days Like This” into a worldwide dance floor anthem, as well as reviving productions from Roy Ayers, Donald Byrd, Betty Carter, Al Jarreau, Eddie Kendrick. In 2001, Motown tapped DJ Spinna for a brilliant remix of Michael Jackson’s “We’re Almost There.”
